LAMALINE - A fishing settlement, district of Burin. It has a considerable trade with St. Pierre. It is situated on low ground, and no trees are to be found near the settlement. A very large description of codfish is caught here by means of bultows. It is a port of entry and a post town. Distance from Burin 40 miles by road. Mail fortnightly. Population 310.
